Russian Steel Companies to Hold a Number of Presentations at Metal-Expo’2017

300 of more than 500 Metal-Expo’2017 exhibitors will be steel and heavy engineering companies. Massive expositions of Russian steel companies including EVRAZ, MMK, NLMK, Severstal, Mechel, Metalloinvest, TMK, OMK, Chelpipe, IMH, UMMC-Steel, Abinsk Steel Works, Asha Steel Works, Krany Oktyabr Steel Works, KMK, Uraltrubprom, Zagorsk Tube Works, Ruspolymet, Elektrostal, Lysva Steel Works, OMZ Group and many more will by no means be popular among industry professionals.

Many steel companies will organize on their stands as well as in conference halls different presentations for their partners and customers to present latest solutions to the steel industry, newly implemented projects, already will-be commissioned facilities etc.

VTZ introduces new technology to improve stainless steel production efficiency

Volzhsky Pipe Plant, a branch of Pipe Metallurgical Company, has introduced a new technology to improve the efficiency of stainless steel production. The innovation helps to recover greater quantities of high-value alloying elements from scrap metal and to utilise raw materials more efficiently. Thanks to the new technology, it has become possible to more effectively recover residual chromium, nickel and molybdenum from high-alloy scrap. The number of "flushing" heats required to clean the furnace and steel casting ladles has also been reduced. The new scheme reduces ferroalloy consumption and improves the profitability of stainless steel rolled products output, as noted by TMK.
