New Metallurgical Investment Projects to Be Presented at Metal-Expo'2026

The International Industrial Exhibition Metal-Expo'2026 will once again take place in St. Petersburg. For the second time in its more than 30-year history, the key event for the metallurgical industry will be held in Russia’s Northern Capital from 10 to 13 November 2026 at the modern Expoforum Centre.

As usual, the exhibition will feature an extensive business programme, with more than 40 industry events planned, including conferences, seminars, round tables and presentations.

Experts will discuss key issues facing the metals market, including technologies and equipment for the production of modern metal products, protective coatings in metallurgy and metal processing, digitalisation and automation of production processes, engineering and design in steel construction, import substitution and the development of the foundry industry, marketing and communications in metallurgy, and many other topics.

The events will be held with the support of the Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers, Zinc Development Center, Melnikov Central Research and Design Institute of Steel Structures (TsNIIPSK), Committee on Foundry and Forging & Press Production, Steel Construction Development Association, Interindustry Association of Chief Welding Specialists, NUST MISIS, Russian Steel Association, Ausferr, and other organisations.

It should be emphasised that this year new investment projects in Russia’s metallurgical industry will be presented, including an electric steelmaking complex for the production of steel billets, a cold rolling mill for stainless flat products, an iron ore pellet production facility, a melting and casting complex, a seamless aluminium tube extrusion plant, a continuous hot-dip galvanising line, several rolling and electric welded pipe production facilities, a plant for processing zinc-containing materials, as well as a number of other new projects.

The exhibition’s business programme is currently being finalised. In September, it will be reviewed in detail and approved by the Metal-Expo Organising Committee, which includes senior representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, as well as metallurgical and mechanical engineering unions and associations.
