Cherepovets Steel Mill Commissions New Steel Coating Facilities

Cherepovets Steel Mill (part of Severstal) commissions a polymer coatings aggregate at plant #3. The first coil has already been produced as part of equipment testing. The plant will start operating in September.

The coating plant #3 includes a continuous hip-dip galvanizing aggregate (production capacity 0.4Mtpy) and a polymer coatings aggregate (production capacity 0.2Mtpy).

The project aims at increasing the market share of polymer coatings rolled stock as well as extending Severstal range of products for the construction industry.

New Severstal products will be exhibited at Metal-Expo’2017.
