Casting Technologies and Steel Structures: Trends and Development Prospects

From May 26 to 28, 2026, Moscow will host the International Specialised Exhibitions SteelStructures'2026, Metallurgy/Litmash.Russia'2026, and Steel Service Centres'2026, organised by Metall-Expo in partnership with Expo-Fusion. The exhibitions will be held at the modern exhibition complex Timiryazev Centre.

SteelStructures'2026, Metallurgy/Litmash.Russia'2026, Steel Service Centres'2026 — a synergy of major industry exhibitions that will bring together, under one roof, key market participants: manufacturers and suppliers of steel structures and metal products for construction, equipment and technologies for foundry production and service steel centers, as well as consumers of metal products and services.

The exhibitions of Russian and international companies will allow participants and visitors to familiarise themselves with modern foundry industry processes, innovative equipment and technologies for the production of cast iron, steel, tubular products and rolled metal, non-ferrous metal products, aluminium, as well as non-ferrous metal alloys. This is an excellent opportunity to establish strong business relationships with partners.

The business program of the exhibitions includes more than 15 events: conferences, round tables and sessions dedicated to current topics in the development of the metal structures market and the foundry industry. Experts in metallurgy and related industries will discuss the key trends in the steel structures market, rapid construction technologies within Russia's national projects and state programmes, modern corrosion protection technologies, how quality fasteners ensure the reliability of machinery and metal structures, and other pressing topics. The business programme will also feature master classes on galvanising technology, as well as the announcement of results and the award ceremony for the laureates of the "Power of Metal" competition.

Alongside the exhibition complex, a special exposition will also be presented — the Russian wire and cable exhibition Wire'2026.

The International Exhibitions SteelStructures'2026, Metallurgy/Litmash.Russia'2026, Steel Service Centres'2026 will be held with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the International Union MetallurgMash, the Russian Union of Metal Products Suppliers, and the information and publishing service Metal Supply and Sales Magazine.

We invite you to participate in the exhibitions!

VTZ introduces new technology to improve stainless steel production efficiency

Volzhsky Pipe Plant, a branch of Pipe Metallurgical Company, has introduced a new technology to improve the efficiency of stainless steel production. The innovation helps to recover greater quantities of high-value alloying elements from scrap metal and to utilise raw materials more efficiently. Thanks to the new technology, it has become possible to more effectively recover residual chromium, nickel and molybdenum from high-alloy scrap. The number of "flushing" heats required to clean the furnace and steel casting ladles has also been reduced. The new scheme reduces ferroalloy consumption and improves the profitability of stainless steel rolled products output, as noted by TMK.
