4,350 specialists in one place in a single day — not counting exhibitors

On June 4, the second day of the exhibition complex comprising SteelStructures’2025, Metallurgy’2025, Litmash’2025, Tubes’2025, and Wire’2025, the booths of 450 companies from 7 countries were visited by 4,350 professionals from the metallurgy and metal trading sectors, the foundry industry, and the construction sector. A large number of partners and business counterparts visited the booths of Severstal, the EVRAZ STEEL ecosystem, Novostal-M Metallurgical Holding, MMK, and a wide range of other companies. Hundreds of scheduled B2B meetings took place throughout the day.

The Timiryazev Center became a hub for discussing pressing industry issues. The Subcommittee on Foundry and Forging & Pressing Production of the Committee for Metallurgy and Heavy Engineering of the Russian Engineering Union, together with the Russian Association of Foundrymen, held a session titled Technological Sovereignty of Russia in Foundry and Forging & Pressing Production.

A scientific and practical conference took place on Welding, Thermal Cutting, and Protective Coatings for Steel Structures.

One of the day’s key business events was the plenary session Steel Structures: Key Trends of 2025, where leading players and experts in the steel construction market exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of the metal structures sector. Following the conference, an awards ceremony was held for the winners of the Power of Metal competition. To close the day, a meeting of manufacturers of galvanized and pre-painted steel products was held.

The General Partner of the exhibition, EVRAZ STEEL BUILDING, hosted a panel discussion titled How to Reduce the Production Cost of Steel Structures.

On the final day of the exhibition, the second panel discussion by EVRAZ STEEL BUILDING will take place, titled How to Reduce Project Costs Through Smart Design and Coordination Across the Contractor Chain. Other events include a meeting of the Marketing Club for metallurgy and metal trading companies, manufacturers of steel structures and related products, the International Conference organized by TsNIIPSK named after Melnikov tilted Operation of Structural Steelwork: A New Perspective on Challenges and Solutions, and the XXVIII Annual Congress of the Russian Union of Metal Product Suppliers.

Coordinated actions by all stakeholders involved in the development of the foundry industry and in promoting the use of steel products in construction are exactly what ensure the effectiveness of the June exhibition consortium.

VTZ introduces new technology to improve stainless steel production efficiency

Volzhsky Pipe Plant, a branch of Pipe Metallurgical Company, has introduced a new technology to improve the efficiency of stainless steel production. The innovation helps to recover greater quantities of high-value alloying elements from scrap metal and to utilise raw materials more efficiently. Thanks to the new technology, it has become possible to more effectively recover residual chromium, nickel and molybdenum from high-alloy scrap. The number of "flushing" heats required to clean the furnace and steel casting ladles has also been reduced. The new scheme reduces ferroalloy consumption and improves the profitability of stainless steel rolled products output, as noted by TMK.
