"Metal-Expo" is recognised by experts as the best Russian Metallurgy exhibition

Following a comparison of the audited exhibitions for the 2022-2023 period, Expo Rating has announced that Metal-Expo is the leading event in the metallurgy category. This all-Russian rating of exhibitions was developed by the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The rating includes more than 300 of the best exhibitions in Russia.

Expo Rating has determined that the International Industrial Exhibition Metal-Expo is the unquestionable leader in all key categories, including Exhibition Space, Professional Interest, International Recognition, and Market Coverage.

This is to be expected. Metal-Expo is one of the few exhibition events in the country that is visited by the most senior figures from metallurgical companies, who are responsible for purchasing and sales decisions. For them, the exhibition is a valuable tool for staying up to date, developing promising strategies, forming new partnerships and ultimately driving their company's growth.

Metal-Expo 2024, the 30th anniversary edition, will commence on 29 October in Moscow. We are pleased to announce that this year the exposition area will increase by another 30%, up to 45,000 square metres. The event will host stands from leading metallurgical and machine-building companies, manufacturers of metal structures and metal products, and suppliers of equipment and technologies. In total, over 800 companies will be present, with more than 300 of these being foreign enterprises.

The most effective development strategies and corporate practices will be showcased, and the most innovative solutions will be acknowledged through a series of exhibition competitions. Over 50 conferences, seminars and round tables will be held across all areas of the metallurgical business. Metal-Expo'2024 will bring together industry leaders to discuss the most pressing issues facing the metallurgical market. The congress block will bring together thousands of speakers and participants, enhancing the event's value.

VTZ introduces new technology to improve stainless steel production efficiency

Volzhsky Pipe Plant, a branch of Pipe Metallurgical Company, has introduced a new technology to improve the efficiency of stainless steel production. The innovation helps to recover greater quantities of high-value alloying elements from scrap metal and to utilise raw materials more efficiently. Thanks to the new technology, it has become possible to more effectively recover residual chromium, nickel and molybdenum from high-alloy scrap. The number of "flushing" heats required to clean the furnace and steel casting ladles has also been reduced. The new scheme reduces ferroalloy consumption and improves the profitability of stainless steel rolled products output, as noted by TMK.
